THE SECOND INSTALLMENT IN THE DIANA MONTGOMERY SERIES

She was the calm. He was the storm. Wherever one went, the other followed.

In Narnia, three years had passed since the Pevensies had left the second time. In that time King Caspian X and Diana Montgomery had brought peace across Narnia. There were no wars, no threats of invasion. Everything was going well. Narnia's next golden age had begun.

With that, Caspian, Diana, and a few Narnian friends set off to find the seven lords of Telmar who had disappeared under the reign of Caspian's father. Their ship, the Dawn Treader, takes them across the Great Eastern Ocean.

Along the way, they pick up King Edmund the Just, Queen Lucy the Valiant, and their cousin Eustace who was very sure that everyone was beyond insane. Except, Aslan had told Diana that Edmund and Lucy would return when Narnia needed them again, and everything had been going smoother than it ever had before.

So the real question was, what did Diana not know? And why was the threat so great that Narnia had called the Pevensie siblings back on it's own?

{Disclaimer: I don't own anything except for Diana. Everything else belongs to C.S. Lewis and the movie franchise.}

She was the light. He was the darkness. One couldn't exist without the other. Edmund Pevensie knew that he was a king. He knew that he didn't deserve to have adults mock him like they did. He had lead armies. He had won wars. And yet, they all saw him as a teenager. Because he was. But a long time ago, he wasn't. Diana Montgomery waited patiently for the day her royal friends would come back to Narnia. The girl was immortal, a gift bestowed upon her by Aslan himself. Though she saw it as more of a curse. She would outlive all her friends. She would be labeled a freak. But Narnia was hers to protect while the High Kings and Queens were gone. One day after school, the Pevensie siblings find themselves back in Narnia, but one thousand and three hundred years later. All that they know is gone until they stumble across Diana who has let Prince Caspian take charge of the Narnian forces to defeat the Telmarines and restore Narnia to its former glory. ♕ Ranked #1 Book in Narnia, #1 Book in Aslan, and #2 Book in Edmund ♕ "What?" Elizabeth exclaimed to Aslan. "I cannot possibly be the one the prophecy is talking about! Certainly I am not fit to rule. Why I'm only fourteen-years-old!" "And the innocence of a child allows them to remain pure and leaves no judgment in their eyes. Elizabeth you were born to be a Queen, you just don't know it yet." ∞ ♕ ∞ Before the famous Pevensie siblings were even born, there was another family already in Narnia. The Kirke siblings, two boys, and two girls, eventually discovered the world of Narnia themselves after the youngest sibling fell into the icy wonderland. The White Witch, believing the Kirke siblings to be the ones told in the Prophecy which stated that she would someday be overthrown by two Sons of Adam and two Daughters of Eve, killed the two older Kirke siblings while the younger ones managed to escape. Elizabeth, the youngest of the four, was accidentally left behind in Narnia by her brother Digory II. Now hunted by the Witch, Elizabeth is on the run when Aslan, a lion who is the king and god of Narnia, intercepted the girl. Living in this country for almost 60 years, Aslan taught Elizabeth how to survive and practically raised her as his own, and gave the girl the gift of magic like that of the Witch. Digory Kirke II, now a retired professor living in 1941 England, agrees to house children during the World War II bombings of London. Soon after, four English siblings to be sent to the old country mansion with Digory II where they will be safe. One day, the youngest Pevensie sibling Lucy finds a wardrobe that transports her to Narnia just like the Kirke siblings forty years before her. What will happen when the Pevensies join the magical lion, Aslan, and the long-lost Kirke sibling, Elizabeth, where the unavoidable fight against the evil White Witch, Jadis, lingers in this mystical land? ** Cover by @ZellasDays **

King Hakan of Telmar is threatening war with the Narnians unless some sort of agreement can be reached. In the pursuit of peace, King Edmund has crossed the lands to Telmar. Waiting for him is Yvaine Shula, a lady of King Hakan's court. Ever since she was little, Yvaine was fascinated by Narnia and all of the creatures who lived there. Most of all, she was curious about Aslan and the four sibling monarchs. When Yvaine hears about King Edmund's arrival, she leaps at the chance to ease her curiosity. Despite the tensions growing everywhere, Yvaine finds herself growing closer to the Narnian king. What will it take to save his kingdom? What can she possibly do to help? And most of all, how big of a mess will her complicated emotions make? DISCLAIMER: I do NOT own The Chronicles of Narnia or any of the lands and characters found within. I only take credit for my original characters and this story. WARNING: This book, while being a work of fiction, still contains real elements and deals with the subject of war. There will be chapters that deal with death, depression, slight gore, etc. ADDITIONAL NOTE: This story portrays the characters as they appeared in the live action films, although I have tried to incorporate more of their book details as well. This is just to clear up some things, such as Edmund's appearance. I based him off Skandar Keynes' portrayal of him. Completed November 17, 2020 *UNSOLICITED CRITICS MAY BE MUTED* see bio
