After The Great War humanity lifted it self up from the destruction that it caused and now is organized and at peace. The new Society consists of Sectors which keep people separated, for a reason. The only exception; The Chamber. The society selects the strongest, smartest, 16 year olds out of each Sector to participate in The Chamber. Then after they test the skills of the selected, they choose the best of the best to live and train in the highest ranking Sector; The Elites. Keene and Rowen enter The Chamber with the hope of becoming an Elite, but when they bend the rules and outsmart the Society, in order to escape The Chamber this becomes much more than the ordinary Chamber trials.
