We are here to tell you that this book is fiction (to those nonbelievers) but if anything unnatural happens to you, use this book as a guide for survival. Let us tell you a little bit about ourselves.

My name is Cole and I am 14. I have a secret.

My name is Bri and I am also 14. I am not who I seem to be.

We were selected by a secret society called "Wordsmiths" who determine the past, present, and future to take on a quest with four others. The Book of Life, a book which holds information of everything that goes on in this world, requires special paper which is quickly disappearing. Not to mention that murders occur as the quest progresses. The bodies are mutilated and a letter is carved into the victims' chests. We need to find the source of the gruesome events or else the whole world will end.

The Wordsmiths are a secret society that are in deep need of a couple heroes and this is how an unforgettable journey takes place.

I live in a world where I am nameless. I live in a world where I do not matter except or unless I am owned by someone. I do not have rights, freedoms, joys, wishes, or aspirations. I am property. I was born and raised to belong to someone that will one day take me away like the fairy tale stories that I listened to everyday in the house I live in. I prayed every night that a handsome prince would come and take me to live in his castle just like in the books. I prayed that I would be a princess and have a kingdom just like in the books. But I was never told that the books were all lies. I was never told the true reason why I was a well sought after commodity. I was never told that I am not the only one like me. When I found out it was too late to save myself. To think and in less than 4 days I will be taken away from my current home and be in a home of my own. I sat on the simple wooden bed hoping that my owner was nice and kind. I hated to think about some of the stories that I heard about the other girls like me. I hated thinking about being exterminated because I made my owner unhappy. I thought to myself that I would try real hard to keep him happy. I remember the covenant of rules that would keep me and my owner happy. I would need to follow five rules. 1. Always obey my owner. 2. Always be available to my owner. 3. Never talk back. 4. Always agree with my owner. 5. I am not human so I cannot do human things. I wondered how pretty human women were. I was so nervous about my departure I nearly refused to leave my room. I could leave if there wasn’t anything wrong with me physically. I remember the den mother telling me not to do anything that would cause a refund or else I would be exterminated upon refund. My new owner had thirty days to return me. If he returned me and no one else was interested I would be exterminated. I would be killed because it would be thought that I was defective and no one would want a defective product.

Book 4 of The Awakening Series The malicious vampire king. My Paramour. Over a century ago, I had a vision of him sleeping with my sister during the same exact day that we met and that alone blew every opportunity which we would have ever had. Yet, even when the day came. I was crushed. There was no way I could have prepared myself. You see, visions, while seemingly set in stone, are not immutable truths; they are glimpses of potential outcomes shaped by the choices we make. They serve as warnings or guides, highlighting the paths we might take but are subject to the influence of free will. I hoped against hope that he would defy the vision and choose a path different from the one foretold. I prayed fervently to my creator that he would see beyond the illusions of fate and recognize the bond we could share. Yet, when our eyes finally met, the cold indifference in his gaze shattered my hopes, while my sister's wicked smile only deepened the betrayal. Years later, the fool decides to host a bullshit love game show to make fun of his journey to find his beloved as if he didn't once look right past me. At this point, he was practically begging for a vindictive curse, and I was more than willing to oblige, ready to remind him that fate was not a game to be trifled with and that the consequences of his folly would be dire and that's exactly what I came to do. So, imagine my surprise when I arrived in his kingdom to curse the rest of his useless existence for this fool to turn around and declare that I'm his beloved on national television in front of the entire world, proclaiming that it's fate. Ha! I guess it is. He's fatally fucked.

Trapped in an unfamiliar world, sixteen-year-old Quinn is frustrated that none of the strange Tree People appreciate his urgency to get back home to earth. Now he is faced with a choice that could change the course of his life: escape and find his own way home, or stay and help them find the cause of the poison ravishing their world. When the mind-reader unlocks one of the ancient mysteries of the Tree People it points to the only way of saving them from annihilation: they have to find the Power of Light. What exactly that means, the mind-reader doesn't reveal, but his next warning comes as a shock to all present: finding the mysterious Power of Light can only be done with the help of the dangerous enemy tribe whom they once called family. Quinn soon finds himself a little more entangled in the lives of these gifted beings than he'd care to be. Especially after meeting Jazz: the feisty girl from his world who seems to be a regular visitor to the world of Zoay. To Quinn's constant frustration, the aqua-eyed pixie makes it clear that she's not there to make friends. On their journey they'll brave bizarre encounters in dangerous alien forests, while sacrificing pride and will for the survival of all. "We're all test subjects," Reese answered. "We were able to escape the system after receiving the cure though. All of us ended up with memory-erasing abilities which is one of the very few abilities that allows you to get out unnoticed." I blinked. Memory erasing? What the heck was she talking about? "Back up a second," I tried to keep my tone even and not let on to the whirlwind of emotions flaring up inside me. "How did you end up with magical abilities?" "They aren't magic dumbass," Micaiah scorned. "The whole reason they created the disease was survival of the fittest, as Skye mentioned. They're purposefully making the weak minorities sick to kill them off while they take the strongest young men and women to 'test' on, when really, they're just purposefully giving us the disease and then the cure. The cure is meant to 'over cure' us so to speak, as in make us stronger than we were before. We each end up with something slightly different." ☁ With Eli dead, it's back to the four of them. They set out to find the camp he'd mentioned, but they could have never imagined what it actually was. They've discovered national secrets that could kill them. With the help of another group of four ragged teenagers, they have to find a way to complete the impossible task of freeing the camp without losing their heads in the process. Follow each of them as they discover who they are, who they love, and more of their country's secrets than they could ever dream of in a thrilling trilogy told from all five points of view.

{COMPLETED} "now that you've had your fun electrocuting me, would you care to hop in the backseat?" ---------------------------------------------------------- Freak DNA. That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. And when we arrive, we will arrive violently. ___________________________________________ Started: 10.06.15 Finished: 3.17.16

"Death, I think I could handle. It's the waiting that kills me." Humanity is no more. Struggling out of the rubble are the Lumière and the Fos, two races whose only edible source of food is the hearts of one another, and no matter how much they eat they're eternally hungry. Perhaps they were once the same-- brothers in humanity-- but now they're brothers in cannibalism. Though these monsters may look human, it's important to remember they are anything but. They are not alive, and they are definitely not human. Kai Chrysostom's brother, Ash, just died. He was the family's Sawney, the hunter of Fos: the one who went into the white plains just beyond the city walls to hunt Fos for food so his family could live. Most days, he would arrive home, place heart after heart on the dinner table and smile at his brother, whose constant twitching and childhood disease meant he could never kill a Fos himself. Now, the task falls to Kai. Considered by most to be disabled, Kai has no hunt training, a fear of death, and worse-- a fear of the past. A death. A journey. Eternal hunger. A hunt he never wanted to join. And love. A girl Fos who spares everyone except him, and takes pity on the poor fool as he literally faints at the sight of blood in front of her. A prison. A savior. A loss. More death. And the past that demands to be remembered. And, it's great-- you've sympathized with your only source of food-- but you're hungry. And, deep down, you know you must eat. ~~~ 45,205 words! Finished! Finally~!!
