Dakota is nerdy to say the least. He's not nerdy smart though. Just nerdy. He's sarcastic, has a terrible sense of humor, loves computers and technology, and had a best friend. Ava. But when something tragic happens and Dakota pushes Ava away what will ensue?
Now, being 17 still without Dakota , Ava has climbed the social latter. Ava is popular and Dakota hasn't been in the picture since freshman year, so when he comes back in their junior year he's something to talk about. However since he isn't that new and was never very popular, he is forgotten within the first week.
However, Ava now has a new secret of her own and becomes curious about Dakota. Will her resolve break down when she sees him? Will she be able to hide behind her smile like she has since freshman year? Or will his new and improved shy away attitude bring back memories that hurt her too much? Will he still be hiding behind his walls that he started building when it happened? Or will her secret come out and ruin something that hasn't even started?
