River Knox wakes up one morning with the sun's light streaming in through the open window, pooling itself onto the lush, cream carpet.

Actually it isn't her body she wakes up in either, because although she remembers nothing from her former life, she was quite sure she didn't have a pair of sleek, auburn wings.
