Beyond the future

A kind of flipped way of the movie "I am legend" a girl in a world with monsters called canters. They're named this because they can run as fast as a horse can "canter". Which is one of the fastest speeds a horse can go. These zombie like monsters look like normal people but they're skin is scabbed and scratched. Not so much a zombie look, more a human look. The one easy way to tell if it's a canter is they loose ALL hair on they're body. And not only humans can get the sickness. I'm new at this and the book is better than it seems.
