Gillian McDaniel has wealth, owns a successful advertising agency and a mansion in La Jolla, California -- everything except a love life. And now she's received devastating news: she's been diagnosed with a fatal form of ALS and will be dead within six months.

While watching a daytime talk show featuring a channeler who mentions 'mind diving' one's consciousness into the body of someone in past, Gillian feels a flicker of hope, despite the outlandish concept. She is desperate and willing to try anything, no matter how ridiculous it sounds, if nothing more than to keep her mind off her fate.

Gillian learns that the channeler, Audrey Maher, owns a store filled with new age items in Sedona, Arizona. She meets with the reluctant woman, but manages to convince her to help Gillian journey to the past using an 18th century battersea box as a guide to the beautiful young girl depicted on the tiny box.

Unfortunately, an internet search reveals that the young girl and her lover are destined to be executed for the murder of the girl's husband, an earl. Gillian decides to go ahead with the mind dive despite the dire news. She tells Audrey that dying a quick death by hanging at Tyburn Tree would be preferable to dying a slow debilitating death in this time.

But there's a chance that she might also be able to save a man's life, as well as her own. Gillian is betting on the latter, because time is running out for both of them.

Alison Wright is dead. Not symbolically, not emotionally : clinically dead. A car. An impact. Darkness. And yet, she's still breathing. Brought back to life by a pact she doesn't understand, Alison quickly realizes this return is no miracle. Her heart beats again, but every beat comes at a price. To atone for her passage between worlds, she must face the Lost Ones. Every time a human dies with deep regrets... they rot, and transform. These souls take shape, linger, attack. And now, they're hunting her. Fortunately - or unfortunately - she's not alone. Assigned to a sarcastic and unpredictable demon named Harley Blake, Alison must learn to survive, to fight, to make sense of this hidden world... all while resisting the strange bond forming between them. Harley is no guardian angel. She's blunt, fierce, and doesn't hide her contempt for humans. But behind the fangs, something slumbers. Something softer. And far more dangerous. And as the Lost Ones draw near... Alison begins to wonder: What if the most dangerous thing here... is what she's starting to feel for her own demon? A second chance. A deal with hell. And maybe... a love neither of them expected. ⚠️ Warning, PEGI 16 ⚠️ This book contains: - Explicit language - Scenes of verbal or psychological violence - Threats of a sexual nature -drugs -some demons a little too horny -duck -mention of blood -Gun violence -Organized crime -Non-explicit sexual content In short: if you are sensitive to this kind of content, I suggest you skip it. I swore and was almost certain I didn't have any more air to breathe, it had all evaporated once my sight set on her. The last time I'd seen the brunette, she was only sixteen, a month shy of her seventeenth birthday. I'd thought she'd been beautiful at sixteen, now... Breathe, McCord! Breathe! I kept having to remind myself as she came to a stop in front of me. Bending over at the waist as she tried to catch her breath, I watched as she held onto her sides, holding up a finger and taking big deep breaths. Once her breathing was under control... somewhat... She stood up straight and smiled at me. I felt the air leave my lungs once again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Distance and time have separated Matthew McCord and Emmaline Sawyer from one another. Matt traveled to Japan to fulfill his lifelong dream; Emma stayed behind to mend her broken heart. Now ten years later, Matt has returned with only one thing on his mind: Emma. Then tragedy strikes her family, and she must learn that she has the courage inside to fight for what is most important to her. When a new threat to their happily ever after emerges, Matt will have to prove he has what it takes to win Emma over, to keep this time, or risk losing her forever. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Told from the point of view of our two lovers, along with some others.

A Journey Through Time

29 parts Complete

What if you woke up one morning... and everything around you belonged to another century? One moment, I was moving through my mundane routine. The next, a mysterious silver box - and a cryptic warning - hurled me through time. All I ever wanted was a simple life: quiet, steady, normal. Instead, I've landed in a world where I hold no power, know no one, and understand nothing about the rules shaping every breath I take. To survive, I have to learn the laws of a world determined to silence me - and find a way home before it's too late, especially with a war on the horizon. But how do you change the course of history when you barely understand how it began? And just when I think things can't get any more complicated, a pair of ocean-blue eyes threatens to rewrite everything I thought I wanted. Can I return to the life I lost? Or will the past - and the man I was never meant to meet - change my future forever? Author's Note: For readers who crave time-travel romance, historical drama, and slow-burn love that keeps you up way past midnight - welcome. You're in the right place.
