As a young boy Kratoc Erosphe watched the murder of his parents. He held on to his dying mother with all his might before his parents' murderers dragged him away and off the falling star fighter. Kratoc watched the star fighter of his childhood blow up and the debris continue to fall. Kratoc's heart remained with his mother and he tried his best to make her proud. In the hands of his parents' murderers, life was filled with hostility and cruelty. As Kratoc grew into an adult, his heart was divided and he was desperately in search for a way out. He believed his masters that not even his own mother truly loved him. A half breed. The outcast. Kratoc was among the most powerful on the planet but his talent and strength were overlooked. That is, until he released his grief on to the world, which lead to dire consequences for the whole galaxy.

Prologue A long time ago, a human adaptation came across the land. People began to gain the powers of different animals. The rarer the animal is, the stronger it is. So the more substantial the power, the more power one has in society. These powers are called one's essence. My essence is a golden dragon. No one knows because once I found out on my sixteenth birthday, I was left alone. I couldn't handle the pressure of the possibility I could have stronger powers than my parents. One year later, I gained my own little band of misfits. Something I found out was that nothing lasts forever.

My first piece of advice to you-- Don't fall in love. I don't care if it's fate, if it's your destiny-- whatever it is-- Don't. It's not worth the consequences. My second piece of advice-- If a fairy approaches you talking about accepting your fate and what not-- turn around and walk away. Don't look back. Don't question it. Shouldn't be hard if you aren't in love. There's no consequences if you aren't in love. If you are, it's too late for you, and I'm sorry. You won't make it to the end of the story. And if you're me, well... I think you've already accepted that fate, and I think its about time to play your part. You wont make it to the end of the story, either.
