In 1986, fifteen year old Owen Miller is living in Eugene, Oregon. He is a sophomore in high school, and things are going well for him. He has a good friends, he's in a band, he's doing well in school, but there's one thing that is playing in the back of Owen's mind.
He is having recurring dreams of his sister Lucy who passed away five years prior. These dreams begin to have a negative impact on Owen's life and make him increasingly more upset and frustrated as time goes on. This story tells Owen's search for closure and how he learns to come to terms with his sister's death.

Imagine that you go to bed tonight and in the morning you wake up to find that four years have gone by. That's exactly what happened to Cassie Clark. When she went to bed, she was only nineteen years old, but when she wakes up thousands of miles from home and all alone in a New York City hospital with no memory of how she got there, she's twenty four.
