After saving New York City and the world from a ghost attack, the Grimmbusters -- a team of spirit and Grimm exterminators -- is disbanded due to lack of business cause of a Geist and ghost dryspell caused by the battle. But five years later, when Grimmbuster Jaune Arc hears of a close incident of losing his son by supernatural means, the men launch a rogue ghost-chasing mission. The quest quickly goes awry, landing them in court due to not having the license and knocking out power across the city. But when the ghosts turn on the judge, he issues an order allowing the Grimmbusters to get back to work. Will the boys in grey be able to save the world a SECOND time?

The year this story takes place in is 2022. In an AU where the Fall of Beacon never happened and the students were able to continue their time normally at Beacon and Summer wasn't dead, Team RWBY is kicked out of Beacon in their third year. After a bit of a ghost encounter and a small increase in ghost sightings across Vale, they decide to do what others won't. Fight the ghosts with tech from Atlas. They form the Ghostbusters and during their time as Ghostbusters, they start to uncover a plot from the once seen as only a myth Salem to destroy the world. So, when the queen of Grimm threatens to destroy the world and all other lines of defense won't do anything especially with Easter on the way, who ya gonna call? I own neither RWBY or Ghostbusters, this is a crossover meant purely for fun

Carter never unlocked his semblance until he turned 13 and in his eyes, his life turned upside down. While training at Signal with his sister, Yang, his semblance kicked in and began to burn around his body, seemingly melting his skin. Carter freaked out and ran. He ran until the fire was put out and he was away from everyone. Fearing that everyone saw him as a monster or freak, he left and began to live on his own. His own family soon thinking he was dead after not being able to find any signs of him. 4 years pass before his family would even know he's alive but also the key piece in both Ozpin and Salems plans to save/destroy the world.
