Lingering Souls [Most Likely Discontinued]

In my world, you receive a soul as your protector/guardian when you are, at the latest, in the age of nine. These guardians would be the same age as you when you received them.

When a person has died, their souls would stay on earth with only one person, who's able to see you (there are exceptions).

These souls stay by your side like a guardian for eternity till they moved on. No one really understands how these souls come to be in the first place or how they move on, but they definitely know that once they disappeared, you could never get a new guardian soul.

People theorize that when these Souls moved on, they'll be reborn into the world with no memory of their Soul life. Nothing really supports that theory, though.

If you get lucky, it might be a pet or your new best friend. But if you're unlucky like me, you'll get a clingy soul of an extremely whiny boy.
