"Fine," I spat, I turn on my heel to face him. "My father has given up on finding your sister. I saw in his notes where he put act like I'm going to find her, but give up after three days!" Noah's face falls, I could've sworn I saw a tear fall down his cheek. "I may not be a cop, but I've grown up around them and in the station. So I know a thing or two."
Noah opens his mouth to say something but nothing comes out. Until he musters up three words, "Let me help."
