In the futuristic island off the coast of Florida, Sanibel Island, a storm is approaching.
And not just any storm; this is a new kind of storm, only discovered when it destroyed Haiti, two years ago. Now it's headed for Sanibel - a smaller one than before, but still headed to destroy the island.
The residents of Sanibel have been cut off from the world, and all they can do now is wait for the end...

"Hurricanes start with warm ocean water. The warm ocean water being love. Over time it turns into a tropical storm, the storm being the obstacles. Then the eye of the hurricane starts, the eye being realisation it's not getting better. Next weatherman and women, tell you how bad it's going to be ; you predicting how bad you're going to get hurt. The hurricane finally hits land, that being the breaking point where you let the fights break you up. When you've just had it. Then reconstruction, you seeing how it broke you and have no idea how to start again. It takes a long time. It hit you harder than you expected. I looked around and saw people young and old coming here to see their loved ones. I saw my families graves. Almost my whole family will be buried here. My grandpa always said it was sacred. I put the Cosmos on my dad's grave. The Daises on my grandmothers and the Roses on my grandpas. I talked and talked to them till I pull my pack of cigarettes out of my bag along with a lighter.
