Before the maze and the Glade came to be what we know today, things were different. Friendships were different, feelings and grudges only grew with time.
But WICKED was never good.
As Ella dropped herself into the box, intent on saving her friends, she held a secret - one that could possibly result in the downfall of WICKED. It turns out that the Flare was only the beginning, and the maze trials were originally for a completely different purpose.
