This is a Merthur fanfiction, but it has multiple parts. It is a romance, not a tragedy
There will be drama and adventure with it. The relationship evolves throughout the story.
My friend, Emily Ashcraft, also the author of The Twilight Trio which is on my account, wrote this book, and this is the message directly from her regarding this story. Thank you to our friend who helped find readers for this awesome story!
I will publish weekly if I can. I will write this as I go, so please stick with me.
I will try to stray away from triggers so that more people can enjoy my content. There will be no suicide or self-harm in this story. If there is anything that could be a trigger, I will list it in the description of that chapter.
I'm really excited about this storyline. I have created some of my own characters, but the rest belongs to BBC. The only things that belong to me are my original characters and the storyline. The story starts where season five ends, but forget about the heart-wrenching time skip in the last shot. This is not a modern AU.
I will also try to link where I find the potions and rituals, as they are from real culture. I have adapted them to fit this time period that Merlin takes place in. I translate directly most of my spells from English to Latin, so I apologize if Google Translate messed up. I hope you enjoy this.

Merthur AU (angel!Merlin and human!Arthur). Merlin is a young angel and doesn't understand many things. When he discovers a pond in heaven through which he can see Earth though, everything changes. For the first time, he sees a human - Arthur Pendragon. And from that moment he knows that he wants to protect him. When Arthur is in danger, Merlin accidentally ends up on Earth while trying to help him. Now he must stay in Camelot and befriend Arthur until other angels find him and bring him home. Their growing love is forbidden though. What can Merlin do now? Leave and never talk to Arthur again or stay and die? This was my first Merthur AU, written in August 2017. The story is set in season 1 during 1x04 The Poisoned Chalice. Merlin speaks Latin a bit (but I have like zero experience with that language so I used an online translator). I started writing this in 2018 when I was still a teenager, but I'm in my 20s now and don't feel comfortable continuing to write it. Part of the appeal of writing this book back then was the spiciness and drama. The only way I'd feel right continuing this book is if I left those parts out, but then it wouldn't be same. There's a chance I'd rewrite this book one day where the characters can be adults with all the spice and drama I want, but until then, this is it.
