After being defeated by the Greek God of War, Ares, in a brawling fight, Freedom finds herself working with a group of New Yorkers who call themselves 'The Avengers'. While serving them, she meets the God of Mischief, Loki, who rained havoc on the Avengers for quiet some time. Little did they know, they have more in common than they think. Will she add to the team's strength, or only bring more chaos to their hectic lives? Note: Freedom is the reader :) AN: I DO NOT own the Avengers characters or the Greek Gods. All I Own is the character, Freedom, and the storyline.

Nyla Voss had lived a life of running and fighting- Hydra took everything from her and after her escape she planned on destroying them. When Natasha Romanoff recruited her as an Avenger, she first told herself it was only for the time being. She didn't do friends. Didn't do family. And she certainly didn't do Steve Rogers stupid rules and plans. The longer she stayed, the more they felt like something she never thought she'd have again- a family. People to laugh with, to fight beside, to save her when she couldn't save herself. And then there was Steve Rogers. He was everything she wasn't-steady where she was reckless, hopeful where she was broken. He believed in second chances, even when she didn't believe in herself. No matter how many times she shut him out, he kept showing up. He saw through the walls she built, through the sharp edges Hydra left behind, and for the first time in years, Nyla wondered if maybe she was worth saving. But Hydra doesn't let go of the machines they build. And if they can't control her, they'll destroy her- along with anyone she's learned to care about.
