This is more of a story opening than a short story, but it stands alone as a short story. Two young lovers have escaped a corrupt rule in a cruel, dystopian future and, to separate themselves from what they left behind, they set fire to the bridge between the world of corruption and the world of freedom.

In the story, two teenagers from different backgrounds fall in love but are forced to stay away from each other. However, things take a different turn when Cirrea and Derek finally find each other, only for Derek to get shot and Cirrea to be exiled by killing herself. As they wake up with different bodies, they remember what happened but not their time spent together. When they thought they had gone back in time, they were just dreaming. They were still in their own time, but they didn't know that until they helped their friends. When they got back to their own times, she knew she still had her powers, but Derek didn't. Then it hit me. The scent of my mate. The one I'd love and spend the rest of my days with. "Mine," he growled. I was forced up against the wall as he began to kiss me roughly. I shoved him off me and made him look me in the eye, "I don't care if you're going to be Alpha. You will always be the jerk I hate and the player I despise. THIS BOOK IS COMPLETED but it will be HEAVILY EDITED and have things added to it in the future. I wrote this book when I was much younger. I didn't expect it to reach this amount of popularity so I will devote my time to bettering it in the future. ------------------ Every year, in our village and the neighbouring villages, we encounter, on what is suppose to be the most divine and celebrated day of the year, a visit from the 'big bad wolf'. At least that's what the children call him. Adults like to call him "inhuman" or a "wild ravenous monster". However, the majority settle for "beast". No one knows why he ruins this specific day for us, the day we can celebrate our species: werewolves. Some despise him for taking this day from us and forcefully exchanging our merry and joyful laughs to screams of fear. When that specific day of the year approaches us, none of us are ever prepared for it. He always comes at night. We are told to lock our windows, draw our curtains and our doors. We are told to hide. There's one main rule that we have: don't look at him. Because if you do, no one knows what'll happen to you. Maybe that's the worse part, not knowing your fate. Not knowing the outcome of your foolish actions. If he comes roaming your streets, you have a right to be scared. Us "maidens" are always encouraged to hide ourselves the most, it's women that he supposedly wants more. However, I believe that that is a cautionary excuse. He'll take you, no matter how old or how young, no matter how innocent or how corrupt, no matter your gender, all it takes is a look. I jumped to my feet and punched him in the side. There was hardly an effect. "You're weak" he spat, walking a step closer towards me. I growled as I had had it with this blood sucking devil! My blue eyes fumed in anger as my wolf was released. I am a white wolf. Liam's eyes bulged as he saw my true form. He then smiled ready to fight. I lunged for the bastard, knocking him to the ground. His other minions rushed towards me all attaching me at once. I attempted to fight against them. They kept coming on me and it was becoming too much for me to handle. My fur had gone from a snowy white, to a bloody reddish color. So much blood. I laid down. Maybe just a minute of rest. I saw Liam walk up to me. He looked down at me and smiled. "What's wrong little wolf? No more energy?" He smirked. Then Liam was suddenly thrown to the damp ground by something, a jet black wolf with glowing red eyes. He was beautiful with his gleaming coat and strong legs. The black wolf left Liam on the ground and fiercely killed all of Liam's minions easily. He wasn't finished with his prowl, he turned back to face Liam but realized that the pureblooded vampire had already run off. Then I hear a deep growl. "Mate", and my heart stops. ------------ Alexandra's pack is mercilessly destroyed by werewolves most hated species: vampires. The species has hated each other since the beginning of time. But what happens when she finds out she is half vampire and half werewolf? A hybrid cross species who is on the run from the vampire Liam who wants to use her as a trophy.
