This is not a love story.

I'll repeat myself: if you're looking for a Hallmark romance, this is not the book for you. There are plenty of beautiful, wholesome romances on here that you'd have to try hard *not* to find. In fact, they're the reason I decided to tell my story.

Because despite what 99.9% of romance books would have you believe, not everyone is looking for their HUA. And not every girl is searching for her one-and-only.

I certainly wasn't when what's told in this book went down. Actually, from the outside, all anyone saw was me happily in love with "the one." But you know what? All that love, the hand-holding, the cute dates - that wasn't enough for me.

I wanted something faster. Darker. Dangerous.

I wanted him. And was I going to let everyone else's expectations get in the way of what I wanted? Hell no. Not anymore.

Was I going to let my perfect relationship get in the way? Nope. He didn't have to know. My friends, my boyfriend - they could stay clueless, for all I cared.

And maybe that sounds cliché. And you think I must have realized the "one" was enough for me all along. Or more likely, you think my "perfect boyfriend" turned out to be the bad one all along, and the bad boy actually had a heart of gold. Right?

Hah. As predictable and boring as that'd have been, I almost wish that's what happened.
