Taika was born from nothing . Born in  one of the Fire nation colonies . After a soldier had a little too much fun with one of the prisoners of war . When he was born he was put in an Orphanage .He was belittled and bullied for his eye color. Labeled as The bastard  . But that all changed when  he discovered that he can fire bend . He had fire that had never been seen before . Word of this Boy with the power to bend fire that was green even got Fire Lord Azulon Attention . Under his order he was to be moved into the palace and trained to master fire bending .  He was a prodigy , mastering fire bending at the age of 8 . He can be considered to be even better than Princess  Azula . At the age 13 he was sent to the frontlines for 2 years only to be transferred to Commander Zhao  after an Incident that had his whole Platoon massacred Taika being the only survivor   .
