Maxine Smith was the girl who didn't believe, and Corpse Husband was the masked man. They were both fucked up and they both knew it, but for some strange reason, two fuck ups made two decent human beings together. It wasn't math or science- that's not how that worked. They didn't know what it was, really, but all they knew was they needed each other.
