They used to not be recognized by the government, but after an incident that took place a year ago, they were officially recognized and announced to adults and 3 years in High School. Why?

Well because the adults didn't want their children to be afraid to even go out their home.

One day Shinobu is assigned to transfer from her College to a High school in Sendai, the Capital of Miyagi, because of the abnormal cases of Demons around there.
