Four years after Melanie and Spencer got their happily-ever-after, ghosts of Melanie's past come back to haunt her and threaten every shred of happiness she's ever known.
In their biggest test yet, Melanie and Spencer must fight secrets and skeletons in order to discover the sincerity of truth.
"I guess I broke my promise." He whimpered, looking at me with those peaceful pools of honesty I never thought I'd ever see again. My scarred hands covered his and I shook my head.
"That promise wasn't ever yours to keep."
"I didn't ever give up on you," He choked. "Not for one moment."
"I know," I smiled, his hands cupping my face as though it were the most precious thing in the world.
"That was the only thing keeping me alive this whole time." I whispered.
"Me too."
Old ghosts return from the grave, all of their problems are finally resolved, and the questions everyone have always asked are finally answered.
