Eric Strider was once the well known champion of the Hoenn Region. But due to family problems he retired. He had a son who he named Jack after his deceased father. After thirteen long years away from Hoenn, Eric Strider is returning with his son. He hopes that his son will become a strong trainer, whose able to take care of himself. However, there's one little problem with that dream; Jack has no idea how to win a battle. He was known as the worst trainer back in Johto. But as the Strider family approaches Hoenn, two teams have a score to settle, putting the region in likely danger and heading for destruction. People already know that they will die unless the champion stops the two teams, but as they hear the former champion is returning, they believe his son can stop them. And now everyone relies on Hoenn's Unlikely Savior.
