This is a world where soulmates are bind together. When someone's soulmate gets in a certain vicinity near each other, a red, thin ribbon would lace around their fingers, then it would pull them together, and it will succeed no matter how hard that person fights back. George, who moves in with his grandparents in Florida due to their parents getting in a plane crash, George has to start over in a new school, new neighborhood, and new people.
