To some, being a Soul Starer is a dream come true. To those who are tested, being a Soul Starer is the beginning of a nightmare.
Ladi Chen is horrified when she is summoned to the testings. All she can imagine is her eyes being shown shut, forever forced to only judge the people by the thoughts in their head. There are worse things, too, that they could do to her.
The power it could grant her is appealing, and the life itself seems comfortable. Until she and a few other apprentices learn the truth.
A revolution is brewing, and it's up to Ladi and her newfound friends to make the right choices. Ladi can only hope she and the others are not being used as pawns.
