Zhavia Streff lives in a world where there are two types of people, Reds and Golds. The Reds being the ordinary public, the ones with the red blood. The Golds being the prestigious royalty, with golden blood and tears as well as unthinkable powers. While a misunderstanding keeps her caged at the Goldner, the capital city of the Golds; she discovers that despite being a Red, she has lethally dangerous powers. She unearths the secrets of the Golds and how their oppression is unfair. Her heart, although, has no intention of staying in place before the devilishly handsome princes, to one of whom she is betrothed. Will Zhavia make it out in time before she becomes one of them? Or will she crumble the hierarchy from within? Will Zhavia be the hero or stay long enough to see herself become the villian? Nobody knows.
