The first novel of the Shadow Speaker series.

After five years of serving as an assassin in the ancient Order of Venir, Saevio is nearing the end of her contract. But after coming dangerously close to failing the Order, and with the Order's ties with the Merchant Guild that dominates the southern continent of Omassin now strained due to her mistake, she risks facing the consequences. Five years in the mortal realm studying humanity will need to be enough if she is to redeem her place in the Order and keep from failing her bargain with the Lord of Assassins.

But just when she has nearly achieved her goal calamity strikes.
Another visitor from her home arrives in the mortal realm, wreaking chaos and destruction, searching for the one who escaped the divide between worlds. Saevio must find answers regarding his arrival, soon, or risk losing the anonymity she has worked so hard to claim, the past she has tried so hard to forget. The mortal realm had been isolated for a reason, and it should have been impossible for another to arrive. But as the danger grows, and enemies close in, one question remains:

How long can she pretend to be human?

Book 1 of The Sword of M'Rael - Alara had learned magic in a kingdom where magic was forbidden to women, and she had gone even further to learn magic forbidden to all. She embarks on a perilous journey, pursued by the relentless wizards of Raujorn, and learns that her magical abilities may be a curse rather than a gift. Aerham had been trained since his earliest memories to become a knight in the Brotherhood of Light, but upon arrival at the Brotherhood's legendary fortress, he learns that the knights are not as honorable as the stories say and he finds himself pushed toward a destiny which he cannot avoid. Aryl had only joined the Brotherhood because of his friend Aerham. Choosing to avoid soldiering, he signed on as a scout and found himself thrust into the harsh frontier lands along with another scout, Jaegor. Together, they learn of a danger greater than anyone could have guessed. Theseus awakens in the forest unable to remember how he came to be there. As some of his memories return, he learns that he is a Draechai and that he had been on an important mission. He must find a now-grown child that he had lost and take her to a tower in a dark and dangerous place. But he cannot remember why! Other Draechai seek to stop him and a creature of purest darkness stalks him from the Umbra. This is the beginning of your window in to the story of M'Rael. Three young people find their lives turned upside down and struggle to survive. Pursued by the wizards of Raujorn, encountering mysterious Draechai and mystical Tael, they find themselves pulled in different directions as creatures from the Dark begin to threaten M'Rael once more.

Being next in line for the throne means duty and responsibility. Unfortunately for their kingdoms, the three hybrid children of the Sky and Land realms, want nothing to do with it. Some say they were born with it in their DNA. While others think they should have never been in line for the thrones at all. Princess Eleonora is a feisty, free-spirited royal. She wants nothing to do with what's expected of her and that includes getting engaged to a royal from the Sky Realm. Expected to be the first of three to do so, she adamantly believes it will be the worst day of her life and she'll spend the rest of her days completely miserable. That is until she meets a royal just as feisty as herself in her courtyard. She soon realizes that what she's been fighting against for so long may just be what she ends up fighting for. Prince Aplomado and Prince Grey couldn't be any more different although they had shared a womb together. One tempered and well-mannered, enjoying his days taming wild beasts. While the other, full of attitude and snark, spending his evenings rolling around with creatures in the sheets. Even though the two are twins they have nothing in common. At least they think they don't. When Grey goes looking to confide in his twin brother after making a huge mistake, he stumbles in on something he shouldn't have. After realizing they're more alike than they are different, each of them deliberate if they truly want to sit on their respective thrones. Will they even be able to after the crimes they've both committed? ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ This is a work of fiction. This all comes from inside of my mind.
