Embry is 1,027 years old. You're probably thinking how can she be that old without being dust? Well you see she is a hybrid, a vampire/witch hybrid to be exact. People are hunting after Embry, dangerous people, so, she returns to her birthplace for the first time since her birth. Here she meets her mate, notorious f-boy Elijah Jones, Alpha of the Shadow Pack.
Elijah is a 27 year old wolf who is Alpha to the biggest pack in America. He still hasn't found his mate and he doesn't want too. He enjoys all the attention he gets from females, and he doesn't want it to stop. Until she came. One moment he was enjoying life, with females hanging off of him, then in walked a living Goddess. He felt attracted to her and wanted to mark and mate with her but he knew if he did that then there would be no more sleeping with whoever he wants.
They were destined to be together but Elijah just doesn't want to give up his player ways. Embry is sick of womanizing pigs like her mate all the while her secrets are getting revealed, slowly but surely.

Bella looked at the blue-haired female-only now seeing the scar down her neck to her chest that wasn't really shown like Emily because of her long blue hair. Mingan listened as Jared explained what happened and at the same time the two girls said something about Jacob escaping sam's gag order. Embry now seeing Bella staring at Mingan'a scar he leans in kissing her long scar softly whenever anyone's staring at it.
