It is amazing the scars that are internal. The ones you don't see, you don't feel, you can't heal. The memories you try to disguise. Just when you think you see the light, darkness shows it's sinful face and wraps it's cold, black cloth around you. And you fight, fight as hard as possible through fake smiles and clear eyes. But you can't hide from yourself, that's the one person that will forever be in you.
Momentarily; adrenaline rushed through the small veins that ran within Grace, as she reached for the closest thing to her - her eyes finally opening.

Follow as the story takes you into how everything they had became just a memory and their attempt to rebuild the relationship [.......] always wanted. Authors Note: I tried to make this story as book accurate as possible, but of course with their being a new leading character added, the story will not follow it directly. I did this on purpose. There are also head canons in this because of another character. Most important, this is a lesbian based fan fiction. I am not claiming Katniss's sexuality whatsoever, in fact, in the story, it is obvious that the insert character's love is completely one sided. This story can take on some adult themes and language, like the original trilogy does, so please be aware of that. When I was eleven. My whole world changed. Katniss' dad died in a mining accident. You think it wouldn't affect me but I loved him just as much as Katniss did. Maybe even more than I loved my own father. I felt bad, that my own dad couldn't compare to Katniss'. He loved me too though. Loved me like his own. The day he died was the first in a long line of times I have ever seen Katniss cry. She never cried before then but she cried a lot after. Katniss' mother was suppose to get a job after his passing, she didn't. They were starving, dying. I decided to help. After school I would drag Katniss into the woods by her feet. We'd never gone in there without her father. It seemed like a scarier place without him. After some time it wasn't so scary. I don't know what made me volunteer for Katniss. When I heard her name echo throughout the crowd my heart stopped. It wasn't my name, but it was my best friends. There was no way she could survive in there. She had a family, a sister to take care of. I thought my parents could live without me. The name Effie called next was the only name I prayed and prayed I would never hear her say. Peeta Mellark.
