Four years after the Death Sleep eradicates 95% of the adult and teen populations globally, new societies of children emerge. Along the urban corridor of Interstate 84, those societies quickly evolve into Skate Republics championed by the most daring cyclists and skaters. In Skate Republic 83651, Josie Slater rises to the position of Advocate while her once boyfriend, Chaz Phoenix, is voted Skate Keeper.
With roving gangs on their rural fringes and a growing conflict with SR 83605, Jospehine and Chaz have to work together to save their friends.
