When I thought of writing this, I began reading other people's fanfictions to motivate me back into writing while already having a good idea of what I wanted the story to entail, and the ideas I had for my story @TaesWolfie had already used in her story. I changed a lot of my original ideas so that mine didn't seem like a complete carbon copy rip off of hers while still keeping as many of my original ideas as possible. Since we had such similar ideas I don't see it fair to not credit her in some way. I highly recommend you all read "Just a Feeling", it's so well written and is currently in my private library. I have been on this app for a long time, I've read a lot of great writings of fanfictions, and JoF is genuinely the only one I've read that has evoked such strong emotions from me whilst reading that I actually laughed out loud, cried real tears, etc. It's so well written it's like you're watching the show again but you can actually imagine (Y/n) being there and their place in the storyline. I've always loved when writers make playlists for their stories and plan to do so for this one at some point, and for my future works, @TaesWolfie did it for JoF and it's so good, I have it added on my Spotify right now and I highly recommend it as well. With all that said, I hope you enjoy my story.

Disclaimer: This story is, of course, set in the Harry Potter universe and remotely within the context of the Sorcerer's Stone. However, this plotline will not directly follow the first book. I'm taking the general story and the characters and putting my own spin on them- as if it's just shy of an alternate universe. Transferring to a new school is rough. Transferring to a new school in a different country is rougher. Transferring to a new school in a different country and not being a 'normal witch' is the roughest though. I didn't want to transfer to a new school for my sixth and seventh years, but my family was under attack and I didn't have any choice. My cousins were lucky enough to be done with school, so they got to stay at home. I however have started being shipped around the world in search of a school willing to accept a 'half-vamp' student. I don't think I'll find any wiling schools though, not outside the US anyway. Honestly, I just wish I could stay home and risk being attacked. Katherine Harrison is not a 'normal witch,' though when she arrives at Hogwarts and meets her new classmates she soon finds out that it's possible to be happy even if you aren't normal. She meets the Weasleys, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Lee Jordan, and many other students at her first transfer year at Hogwarts.
