Niklaus Mikaelson is now the ruler of New Orleans. Marcellus was lost in a mass explosion just outside of the city. Niklaus had lost his son and friend.
Rebekah is back with a now 5 year old Hope Mikaelson, however this leaves Klause alone with his child since Hayley has fled New Orleans with Jackson in hopes of a 'normal life'
