A combination of stories set in a gritty fantasy world of dark spirits and blood magic with a fairly classic fantasy style, all set on the Island of Theoí. If you've read 'The name of the Wind' you might see a fair bit of inspiration in style but hopefully a very different story, setting and characters.

--- "No!" Jamison almost coughed on his own words as he woke up suddenly by the cold rock with bloody smears staining its surface. Panicking he fought for breath and found only harsh brittle air rather than the warm smooth campfire heat; a warmer body had slumped next to him and he turned to find Corke staring at him with a worried expression. Upon seeing his face she relaxed and looked out along the wall, glancing her eyes from the singed ashes of the Pemberfrost weeds to the long slashing shadow of the great monolith.---

Sanctum is set in the brutal aftermath of Sanctums fall; a prison off from the main land mass in which a group chosen by the Meredith Crown are sent to bring down the final Monolith that still stands. Upon arriving the group finds an abandoned and necrotic aura seeping over the mist that engulfs Sanctum, there is no life in the halls of stone.

Castle Rock. A formidable laboratory housing monsters, unwilling subjects and other supernatural entities stationed deep beneath the ice of a tundra in an unknown region of a fragmented world. The place of nightmares that very few know of, the place of cruel and inhumane tests conducted on the innocent. Castle Rock at [DATA EXPUNGED], has experienced a site-wide destabilization due to the intense polar storm that currently is decimating the tundra. These storms are known to be dangerous for a plethora of reasons throughout the world. The Facility and all of it's holding cells & security stations deactivated and disabled due to the storm. Releasing everything without supervision. Hence, this phenomenon being called "Destabilization". Now, Monsters and deviants alike set free to roam. Some take matters into their own hands to escape. (Y/N) is a subject within the bowels of the facility, among the few who have the will to survive. Though, with little knowledge of their own past and current situation, (Y/N) finds some friends along the way. All hoping to find an escape. This story is a little gay, just a little. Hope you enjoy reading, give me any and all feedback The story will randomly transition between reader POV and (Y/N) POV at times. It's subtle, so pay attention. [Sometimes scenes will say "We did (something) and other times [You did (something). It's all the same. Just different POVs Melee killing is violent and gory on purpose. None of the art shown belongs to me. Inspired from various video games. Melee Combat directly based on Decaying Winter Slightly inspired by Rogue Lineage. Gender-neutral reader.

In the woods south of the capital, a man born of magic wakes after a long sleep to experience his first taste of tragedy. Broken by the loss of one who cared for him, he becomes a monster he's never transformed into before. When he wakes up, a small rabbit-girl who calls herself a beast-bunny and a young man that smells of fear have cleaned the blood from his hands. Others' blood. But when he leaves them to mourn his caretaker and cope with the lives he has taken, he is shown the truth of his being. As a guardian called a Stag, he must venture into the world and make it better, but he will need to find the ones who helped him first. The nameless one has never ventured outside of the woods before and, in his attempt to locate those he searches for, is arrested. It seems the capital believes them to be murderers, and if not for the intervention of a captain who knows what he is, Nameless might have failed his quest before beginning it. By the help of a demon, he reunites with those who cared for him in the woods, and he starts the seemingly impossible task of discovering what exactly happened to turn his companions into criminals and save them if he can. If he cannot, he will have lost his first friends and the only ones he has come to trust to help him save their lands' magic and heal the world he finds falling apart all around him.
