Infection Runs Deep
Dr. Elizabeth Hunter thought her life as second year resident could not get anymore frantic than her ER rotation. Crashing heart rates, bottoming out blood pressures, and hysterical patients were something that she could handle. She'd been trained for it after all. But when a patient came into the ER with an unknown disease that Elizabeth has no idea how to treat, she found herself thrown into chaos as the newfound illness plagues the US. After a few close calls, Elizabeth joined ranks with Sergeant Luke Falls who lead her to a military base. Elizabeth tried her best to navigate the unknown in her post-apocalyptic reality, fighting off infected while trying to treat them as patients. In conjunction with Luke and her new comrades, she discovered some particularly troubling information of the etiology of the disease and must make crucial decisions with the lives of those she cares for most hanging in the balance. --- "This is a bad idea," he warned as I started down the hall. "You know, usually I'm the one saying that," I said with a smirk. "If your crazy-ass ideas are the voice of reason, I can't believe you and your friends have lasted this long." He shook his head. "Someone needs to talk some sense into you guys." "I don't need sense. Just luck." The threshold to the lobby loomed ahead. With one last look over my shoulder, I blew a kiss in his direction. "Wish it for me."Complete

Slight Warning: This story contains depictions/mentions of blood, murder, child abuse, etc. This is an alternate universe of the second book of the Roblox game Piggy. Credits to Minitoon for most of the character concepts and universe. The story starts off from Book 2 Chapter 2, as usual, but when Pony, Zizzy, Mimi and Brayden (the player) get back from the store, they discover a horrifying sight. Their group begins to dwindle down as traitors emerge and disaster strikes. Meanwhile, Tigry is having his own problems. His group has never liked him, but what's pushing him away is that his leader and only remaining friend, Willow, has been turning against Tigry, treating him like a piece of rubbish. Worst of all, someone else has been watching him, and they're set on making Tigry's life even more difficult- at least, that's how Tigry sees it. Willow, on the other hand, is going overboard. She's been pacing with schemes ever since her worst enemies had came back into her life. And she'll do anything for revenge. Anything to reconnect her one bond with her brother, held on by a single thread of hope. Even if she has to break many other bonds along the way. And beyond the world they all live in, is a man collecting all those broken threads, trying to stitch them together into a tapestry all his own. A canvas that could never unravel. Or so he thought.

Wealth
Almost everyone on the planet is five times wealthier than their ancestors only 50 years ago. This astonishing phenomenon has also improved health, education, and longevity. The average life span increased from about 40 years to more than 80 and the average world income from less than $3 to more than $33 per person per day (and to $140 per day in some countries). The cause; an explosive growth in ideas and productivity. Of all work in 1850, 80% no longer exists. Think of electricity, railways, automobiles, aircraft, satellites, radio, telephones, cell (mobile) phones, TV, computers, the Internet and nuclear power. Today, each farmer in the USA feeds 300 people whereas 200 years ago 4 out of 5 Americans worked in agriculture. In 1900 farm workers were still 40% of the work force; while in 2016 they were less than 2%. Bill Gates and Paul Allen started the Microsoft Corporation in 1975 thereby creating three billionaires and about 12,000 millionaires among Microsoft employees. $1000 worth of Microsoft (MSFT) shares in 1986 were worth $2,800,000 in 2025. In 2016, shares of Nvidia (NVDA) were $1.32 adjusted for stock splits. In 2025 one share could be sold for $170. A $1000 investment in 2016 would have returned about $129,000 in 2025. Okay, so how do you start GETTING RICH? It is very simple. Few of us have the talent or tenacity to start a new business, but now it is easy to buy publicly traded shares of businesses that grow steadily and create wealth in the process. You might as well buy a small share and watch it grow. Get rich slowly by investing a regular amount of your income in a diverse range of companies and re-investing all interest, dividends and capital gains and holding for many years. You will first need to choose an on-line stock broker and set up an account. They all operate much like banks as they are legally required to know their clients and must report to government tax collectors on any income to your account.
