The city of Tutaishi is attacked, but this time, it isn't by mindless bloodthirsty beast. Unlike the monkouts, this war is against men, and these men will not be satisfied with just killing the people. The destruction of the whole city and enslavement of its people is what they are after and Gabriel and Joshua and the men that were brave enough to fight against the monkouts will now have to defend the people against the invasion that threatens the livelihood of the people of Tutaishi. Everyone looks for their captain and their genius engineer to come up with a plan to beat the much superior army. Even after Maxine is brought to the Marine kingdom by Kenny, Lisa knows that the relationship that Maxine and Gabriel have is far from over. Lisa also searches for a solution, and it could cause her to have to betray a close friend and even risk losing the man she is fighting to make her only hers. Gabriel now has two children on the way by two women that he loves. He wants to do the right thing, but he will find it very difficult to completely rid himself of Maxine. Forced to makena choice, choosing Lisa seemed like the best choice, but it is only easy now that Maxine is no longer in Tutaishi, but what will happen if she finds her way back to him.
