A memoir of my struggles after working in the Emergency Department, with PTSD, and self healing. If you don't know me, that's okay! I wrote this memoir after I came through a lot, and it was always meant to be shared. I hope that someone reads this and is able to feel that they are not alone in their pain, and their grief. Because even if you never lose the memories, you can rediscover hope.
I hope that my story can be an uplifting message to those who are hurting. For those I have shared this with in my personal life, it has been an impactful message and many shared their own stories with me after reading it. One of my dear friends told me afterwards that "if I had read this in my youth I might have made fewer mistakes." It was a wonderful moment to hug her in her moment of happiness and sorrow. I hope it leaves a meaningful impact for you, dear reader.

Where you are abused, taunted, mocked and everyone makes you feel like you're not good for anything. Hurts, right ?? 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐲𝐚, a girl who never knew what family felt like until a girl entered her life unknowingly and made her feel loved regularly. They became best friends. She found her escape in her and her family but till when will they treat her as a part of their family?? One or the other day they have to part ways. That's what she had thought until her best friend's brother came into the scene. He made her heart flutter unintentionally and she started seeing him in a new light who felt like a soft breeze of air that gave her comfort just like his name, 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐫𝐚. He's what you call a chivalrous man, who knows how to treat others with love and care because he's showered with endless love by his doting parents. He's blessed with everything but never did he take anything for granted. All he aims for is to make his parents proud and marry his lady love with whom he's been in love with for don't know how many years unknown of the fact that she loves him too. Will she acknowledge her feelings for him or shoo them away ?? Will they bloom in love or part their ways while having each other in their hearts, calling it their kind of forever? Have you ever met someone who alters the course of your life? For good or for bad, they've come in, given and taken, and then- BOOM! Your life was never the same. There's always a change, an altering of reality. When you meet those people, the reality that you've known your whole life is suddenly gone and a new one has taken its place. When those moments happen, there's no going back. You can try to return to the way things were but nothing, and I mean nothing, can take you back to exactly how it was. That's what happened to us. I think that's why we're still trying so desperately to get back to some sort of normalcy. Four years later and we're still on the ground, crawling, in search of the happiness that was lost that June. Summers will never be the same. Midnight walks through my neighborhood will never be the same. Field parties with bonfires and loud music will never be the same. I still don't know why you left and what lead you to the decision you made. What I do know is that we're here. We're alive and we're pushing forward to the future. A future that you're not a part of.
