Hiccup believed he could change the mind of Drago Bludvist and show him that dragons aren't just beasts of war, he believed he could reason with a madman and bring the world to peace.

He was wrong.

And has now lost everything because of his pragmatism.

Scandinavia and all its Viking and dragon sympathizers are dead, the dragons who dwell there are enslaved to become mindless killers under the command of Drago and his warlords, and Berk is razed to the ground.

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III is the last Viking in Scandinavia and is now consumed with anger, loss, sorrow, and vengeance. With nothing left for him in Scandinavia, Hiccup pursues Drago and his army, hellbent on exacting revenge on the man who destroyed his entire world and slaughtered everyone he's ever loved and cared for. This quest of vengeance will take Hiccup to lands he has never seen before, a land that is shattered and its people divided by war and distrust.

Either way, Hiccup will not rest until Drago Bludvist is dead and his loyalists join him in the afterlife.

All the pain Hiccup has bottled up has finally burst open and it causes a handful of Berkians to regret how they treated their prince. The now former Hooligan prince and his Night Fury Toothless, leave Berk in search of a new path. And to find a place where they'll be accepted for who they are. Hiccup and Toothless go to Europa and discover the former Thracian gladiator; Spartacus. Together, the duo joins the Thracian and his army of slaves. Hiccup helps Spartacus and his people train dragons and use them against the vast armies of Rome. Over the next five years Spartacus and his army have grown tenfold and have pushed Rome to its last stand. However, Rome has now unleashed one of its greatest generals on the rebels, Gnaeus Pompeius Magus(Pompey) leads a counter attack and kills many of Spartacus's warriors. Now, with their numbers cut in half, Spartacus is in need of reinforcements, Hiccup suggests where they can gather more forces that despise Rome as well. The very place he despises. Berk.

The name is given to those who won't survive their first winter. Those who don't belong, those who will not be any more than a burden. Hiccup isn't an exception to this. I mean, sure he survived his first winter, and the next fifteen. But he caused problems, not on purpose. Things just happened when he was around. First when he was six, and a nearby furnace blew up when he lost his temper. Then when he was eight, nine, eleven. These strange happenings kept occurring, and nothing he did helped. Everything he did, everything he tried had some way of turning back on him. For the longest time he believe that the God's cursed him.
