Tommy Beady is widely regarded by the professional hockey community to be a washed up has been who started his career on a high note and made bad choices, throwing it all away. If he doesn't get his act together, his career will be over for good. Making choices? Pointless.

Matt Gambler has lived in his older brother's shadow almost his entire life. No amount of success has ever felt like it was enough, and his own personal demons and shortcomings make him feel inadequate compared to his siblings. He only seems to feel at home when he's self-destructive and out of control.
