From Afar

Tag had trained all his life for the possibility of new civilizations and new worlds, but he never believed his training would be more than academic. Man might have conquered the stars, but they traveled the vast emptiness between the stars alone. No one knew that alien life had been discovered, the implications too shocking for the government to reveal. Tag alone would explore a civilization his people and government would deny.

This novel was completed for the 2010 NaNoWriMo and has languished in obscurity. Honestly, it has a slow start, but do not be misled into a false sense of security. Familiar security disappears in a foreign world with rigid customs and social orders.

The novel contains scenes of beatings and discussions of castration.
