The Pilot

When Chase Eaglestrom witnesses the death of his best friend Echo, he promises himself that he will find a way to stop the Government's horrible Reapings.

Five years later, he decides on an insane plan that might just work- to convince the Empress Ciara to marry him so he can become Emperor.

Because he has never left home, and that no one knows where Government Island is, he hires a masked pilot- the Pilot- to help him find the secret island.

But when the Pilot reveals secrets, a long grudge, and their thirst for revenge, Chase must decide what he truly wants, to avenge his friends death, or save the ones he loves.
