Blake Carter is a senior in high school and ready for his last year to be over with. After his dad died when he was 12, things have gone downhill. His mom no longer acts like a mother and never seems to care. Soccer is his getaway. As a new girl shows up at school one day, they grow closer and Blake begins to develop feelings for her. But feelings for him don't happen all the time. Follow Blake and Evelyn's journey as they go through their senior year. Told in both of their views. The prologue gives more of a hint about the story! ((this story has a lot of chapters, but I don't think it's that long..)) And the cover is NOT mine. I got it from tumblr. I take NO credit for it.

Zixin is a high school senior-quiet, brooding, always dressed in black, and never far from the girl who's known him since the beginning. Miyoko, a pastel-dressed sophomore with stars in her eyes and warmth in her smile, has been his closest friend since they were kids. The one person who sees past the walls he builds and into the heart he hides. They're total opposites-he's all sharp edges and silence, she's soft colors and sunshine. But their bond runs deeper than anyone knows. After all, they made promises when they were little. Promises to never change. To never leave. To always be there. Now, with graduation just months away and the weight of growing up pressing in, Zixin starts to realize he's breaking one of those promises. Because he doesn't love Miyoko like a friend anymore. And every moment spent beside her makes it harder to pretend he does.
