Elle Rylander, a eighteen year old girl in her senior year in a Swedish high school, has always lived by a set of rules: Work hard, stay focused, and never let emotions cloud her ambition. But when Kevin Palm, a cute, new, straight-A student, enters her world, she finds herself wanting a bit more out of life than just hard work.
Determined to catch Kevin's eye, Elle makes an unlikely deal with Tevi-a reckless, sharp-tongued troublemaker who knows all the right people and all the wrong ways to get what he wants. In exchange for keeping a secret, Tevi agrees to transform Elle's social status from a nobody, to at least a somebody.
Can Elle achieve her goals without compromising her set of rules? Or are rules really meant to be broken?
