The Clone Wars raged across the galaxy bringing terror and destruction. Anakin Skywalker is an arrogant, stubborn, Jedi. Addison Avery is his feisty, just as argumentative counterpart. Both recovering from tainted pasts, pairing up the worst Jedi Knight with the best Knight seems like the worst decision ever right? Well, you're right. It was.

Greek Tragedy ~ a play in which the protagonist, usually a person of importance and outstanding personal qualities, falls to disaster through the combination of a personal failing and circumstances
with which he or she cannot deal

~

Anakin's jaw clenched at the jab, but he kept his focus. "And I'm not the with a false sense of pride--charity case."

The tension between Addy and Anakin was a tangible force in the monastery's dark corridor. "A charity case? That's really what you think I am?" Addy's voice was a venomous whisper, her anger barely contained. "You know nothing of my past, you arrogant fool."

Anakin's chest brushed against her back, catching up to her pace. "And I'd like to know nothing of it."

His words sliced through her like a saber stab. The girl whipped around, shoving her saber at his neck. It hummed, the blue glow illuminating the generals ethereal features in the dark corridor. "Just stay out of my fucking way, General Skywalker."

His brows furrowed, a frown slowly forming on his lips.

Their eyes locked.

With a light wave of his hand, he force pushed the girl against the wall. Her saber fell, the blade disengaging on the ground. Anakin slowly walked up, his blue eyes looking like obsidian in the shadows. Standing over her, Skywalker grabbed her neck with his mechanical hand. His touch was cold despite the glove covering the robotic forearm.

His grip tightened, and she let out a soft gasp. Skywalker's saber ignited, and held it directly at her throat. His breath hit the tip of her nose as she squirmed under his touch, "Do not ever, disrespect me. Commander Avery."

He should know this boy. He felt a connection. Owen broke past the stormtroopers who were now guarding the door to the headquarters, but they detained him before he reached Vader. "Let go of me. That's my son! Let go of me." Owen broke free and ran toward Vader. Vader turned just as Owen reached him, grabbing him with the Force by his neck and lifting Owen above him. Vader recognized him. "You!" Vader yelled. Something within Vader caused him to look back at the boy, and then to both Owen and Beru. There was no way that boy was theirs. There was no similarity. "You lie!"

The hall was empty and dark, a mist laying over the ground like a veil. The temple felt like a beating heart of something maleficent and fierce, swallowing everything it could touch whole. She could feel his hatred growing stronger with each step she took. It was a weight that pressed down on her, forcing the air from her lungs and making it hard to breathe. She was drowning in his fury, feeling herself slip away from reality with each passing second. That was what it was. Pure madness, echoing through the halls and intensifying a hundredfold each moment. Feet stopped dead in their tracks, eyes closed and focussing on the force. Through it she felt his eyes, his dark, maleficent eyes focussed on her through the shadows. He shifted through the mists, the ripples in the air reaching her and spiking her senses. Lyanna opened her eyes, focussing on the dark figure that was hiding in the darkness. "Show yourself." She could see nothing but two yellow orbs, like the eyes of a predator, prowling through the mist. To say he frightened her would be an understatement. "The doctor." He chuckled, the mad sound echoing through the halls and sending chills up her spine. Her hand instinctively went out to her lightsaber, her thumb pressing against the button and her eyes trained on his figure. "I was hoping for Kenobi." His voice was low and threatening. Maul stepped out of the shadows, his eyes glaring at her from afar as he ignited his double-bladed lightsaber at his side. The red casted eery shadows on his dark face, his yellow orbs flaring with pure hatred as he snarled. "Why are you here?"
