The year is 2038. Belle (23), a frustrated robotics engineering student who has been wanting to leave the Philippines, her home country which is under a military rule sells her robot prototype in exchange for freedom and money. Upon hearing that the government will use her robot for their militaristic propaganda, she steals it and evacuates. The robot whose nickname is Donny eventually comes to life and forms a deep bond with her as they run away from the government.
