Lost in pain, guilt and endless suffering was a child who feld for his life from the war torn Aryavart.

He had nothing more with him, his memories failed him and yet he was taken in and given the name Perseus.

He grew up, became Greece's most beloved warrior. But was that the end? Or was it just the beginning of a nightmare.

Buried within his forgotten past lies a book. A book which took several lives. A book which holds a secret which died with its master in battle.

"Who are you?"

"The all knowing, all powerful...."

"I didn't ask for subtitles!" Exclaimed Perseus.

They dangerously held their swords against each other's throats. Their eyes challenged one another, yet neither of them were willing to battle it with their swords.

"Why do you need this book?" Asked Vatsala. "Why did you....kill...."

"Mere mortals such as yourself are so foolish!" Laughed the man. "Hand me the book, or else none of you live."

They looked around and realised they were surrounded by armed men who were ready to strike as soon as the signal was given.

"Percy, let him go." She softly suggested, by gently placing a hand on his shoulder.

"I have their leader, they won't kill us." He replied.

"You don't get them yet," sighed Vatsala, "they are not one, they are many. He that was made within one, is not one."

Perseus dropped the sword and the book was handed to the man. They were at their wits ends. Would they succeed? Would they succumb to evil?

Trapped, encoded, shrouded in mystery is a dangerous secret. The ones who knew it, died. Would they meet the same fate as that of the past?

"So." She mused, sliding one black nail across her lip in a sensual caress as she stared at me with eyes the color of molten gold. "You are the one they call Huntress." Disregarding the pain in my side from the most recent beating, I straightened my shoulders and stood tall, my chin jutting out in defiance. "Yes." "Mm." Those intriguing eyes watched me from her languid position on the throne. "But, you are not just a huntress, are you?" I allowed the predatory instincts I usually worked so hard to keep hidden, to surface, feeling the burning of my eyes and shifting of bones under my skin. A slow grin slid across my face as my beast stared back at her through my human skin. The Queen didn't react to my sudden change of character, instead choosing to lean forward in interest. "How fascinating." • Once, the world was ruled by humans and technology. They were governed by a president that made choices for all. Hades and Persephone

39 parts Complete Mature

Persephone has already been kidnapped by Hades, her unwanted and unexpected suitor. Demeter has already cast a famine on all the humans in her grief. Hades struggles to win Persephone over...but perhaps Persephone has always been meant to be with him, and she wasn't an innocent as she was thought she was... Moderate explicit parts. *not finished* "Look, Persephone, you're a reasonable Goddess, more reasonable than most. You have to understand I was not born the Lord of the Underworld. The title was appointed to me because I was the unlucky one. My job is just as important as my brother's jobs. I wasn't selected because of my cruel ways but now because of the way people speak of me and fear me now I am the cruel one whether or not I like it. Do you honesty think it is fair that it should work that way? People take one look at me and assume I'm the devil." Persephone crouches back in her seat. I realize I am standing and seat myself, trying to calm myself. "Do you honestly think that being in charge of the dead and judging them makes me undeserving of love, of a wife? I'm doomed to be exiled down here. I don't even have the sun to keep me warm, Persephone. You're all the sun I have..." *This story is also not meant to be factually accurate, and is simply an interpretation of the story.
