I tumble through the darkness, something constantly brushing up against my clothing, like fingers or claws trying to grab a hold of me. As I try to pull away, more seem to join.

I look back at my foot. It has sunk into the stump as if it's completely moldy on the inside. But as I try to pull out, I feel something pulling back. It's not like something has grabbed me, it's more like the very stump is sucking me in like a piece of spaghetti. I try to pull back, reaching out to grab onto a root. Just as I do, it moves and quickly wraps itself around my wrist.
