Being the nerd of seventh grade definitely isn't easy- about as easy as being the popular girl. Claire Harris and Zoey Jensen are practically enemies, that is, until a laptop and a tree cause them to become joined at the hip for eternity. Now faced with the roadblock of life also known as college, dealing with boys, finding true love and friend drama,as well as begging to be put onto the party list, Zoey and Claire have a lot set out for them. But when Will Whitehurst breaks Zoey's heart, things get complicated from there. Claire finds herself dazzled by his charm but knows she can't fall for her best friend's ex. Zoey, on the other hand manages to bury her sadness with alcohol, carelessly getting herself pregnant with a guy she thought she hated. Friendships are put to the test and the feeling of betrayal becomes known all too well. Will they stay as close as ever, or may more problems arise?
Years ago, they created a notebook, holding many rules to secure their friendship- rules that they both seem to be breaking unintentionally. But will they break the most important rule of all?
