A young adult fresh out of high school is feeling anxious and lost. In the heat of desperation she goes on a small camping trip to her favorite spot alone. She hopes to relieve herself of her stress and anxiety but when she gets there what ensues next is far from her intended relaxation. Is she spiraling into madness or is everything happening to her real? It's a strange life, indeed. ~~~~~ This piece is from my creative writing class. I was hoping I could share it with others who enjoy horror as much as I do. I am by no means an experienced writer, it's more of a hobby than an aspiration. My arm was twisted at an impossible angle, yet I couldn't scream because my mouth would not open. I could feel the kicks coming at me from all directions, and as I received another one to the head I knew this was the end for me and my heartbeat slowed.
