Skilled and dangerous, Leah Shadow has served as a mercenary all her life with many others of her kind. It is a life of imprisonment though, and one she has failed to escape from countless times and only suffered unfair retribution for in return.

Another attempt to escape after an incident that she is sure could cost her life gives her the freedom she so desperately desires, though not quite in the way she had imagined it would. She is stranded in a world of fantasy, a world where good and evil are at battle, and the very existence of the world is at stake. It is only more unsettling for she finds herself in the company of strong men and fighters who are wary of her sudden appearance.

It is only in time though that a sense of deep trust and understanding brings them all together to fight for the same cause. Taking one step at a time, it is not just comradeship that Leah finds in the new world but also a connection with a courteous elf that stirs in her heart more and more the desire to stay by his side.

With the world hanging on a delicate balance, it is a test of courage, trust and hope to see the light at the end of the dark tunnel that pushes brave warriors on the path to a blessed victory.
