Athena has been in the Glade for four months, living peacefully among the rest of the otherwise all-boy group of Gladers. Every day is the same there. Nothing changes. Not at all.

That is until they get a new, overly curious addition to their group in their next delivery. The boy shakes things up from the get-go, but that's not all Athena needs to worry about. Every time she closes her eyes, vividly horrific memories of battles past begin to break through the artificial wall that had been constructed deep in her mind.

Everything is changing.

How will Athena cope with the memories arising in her dreams? Will they finally be able to escape from the death trap of the Maze? Will she make or break friendships along the way? Or even find a bit of romance?...
